New Patient Centre
The Peak Potential Chiropractic team is here to help you live a richer, more fulfilling life that comes with having a body that is healthy. When you call for an appointment, we’ll get some details from you, ask how you’ve heard of us, if there’s a particular practitioner that you want to see and what time works best for you.
A New Patient Chiropractic Visit
If you’re seeing us for a chiropractic appointment, we ask that you arrive 10 minutes early to fill out your paperwork. Our friendly assistants will warmly welcome you when you walk in, then get you the necessary forms. We pride ourselves on running on time, so you’ll promptly meet your chiropractor and sit down to discuss your history and complaint. Next, we’ll start with a complete physical and orthopaedic examination as well as functional testing to thoroughly understand your current health status. If X-rays are needed, we’ll make sure you get them taken. In some cases, we may begin care on this visit. In others, the chiropractor may require more time to analyse your findings before starting care. Your first visit, including filling out paperwork, will take about 40 minutes.
The Second Visit
You’ll return as soon as possible for your next appointment, during which time your chiropractor will detail all the findings from your examination and X-rays if taken. We’ll then give you our best recommendations for a care plan. At Peak Potential Chiropractic, we offer you different options for your care that are tailored for you.
The report of your chiropractor’s findings is designed to give you all the information needed for you to make an informed decision about your health and the type of care you’d like to receive. You’ll get an adjustment on this visit and be on your way in about 30 minutes. If there is anything you can do while at home, we’ll give you instructions for that as well.
Regular Visits
Our patients have the option of selecting the type of care that’s right for them, and see us according to their chosen frequency. Follow-up visits take only about 15 minutes. Your adjustment helps to retrain your nervous system, and the effects of an adjustment can continue for hours or days after you leave the office. Your body continues to change, strengthening ligaments and tendons, retraining muscles, and forming new motor pathways as you go about your daily life. We’ll continually provide advice, exercise and rehabilitation to increase your recovery. If we feel that another practitioner at our location may be able to help you, we’ll refer you to them.
Progress Reviews
Your progress reviews are designed to track your progress and assess the success of your care program. Our chiropractors conduct ongoing progress reviews every 12 visits, comparing your current finding to your original examination findings to understand how far you’ve come. We will measure your improvements in range of motion, posture, x-ray change, and quality of life indicators including sleep, exercise, stress, energy, wellbeing, and diet.
